Hand-carved walrus ivory from St. Lawrence Island, This piece depicts a Walrus Shaman. Carved by Alaskan artist Charles Slwooko of Gambell.

Eyes and parka decoration are made from inlaid whale baleen & fossilized walrus ivory. The tusks are Walrus whiskers and the drum is carved from fossil walrus ivory.
