This design incorporates Ancient Woolly Mammoth. Woolly mammoths roamed the Earth for 1.8 million years, until their extinction about 10,000 years ago. Unearthed in Northern Alaska, Canada, & Siberia, its unique colors are derived from the minerals found in the soil.

This unique Bob Merry Studios Ulu has an Ancient Woolly Mammoth Bone for a handle. The blue coloring in the handle and base come from the mineral Vivianite that is found in the soils around Alaska.
